Russia said about Ukraine issue, America is creating political pressure
Tensions are rising between Russia and the US over Ukraine.
Meanwhile, a Russian diplomat has made a big deal. In Geneva, Russia's
Permanent Representative to the United Nations Gennady Gatilov told Russian
state media agency Sputnik that the US and other Western countries were not
ready to start a conflict with Russia. All the pressure on Russia is being used
to increase the stake during the security guarantee talks.
America is creating political pressure: Russia
He has said that we are far from thinking that Washington
and other Western countries are working on real plans to start a conflict with
Russia. However, his steps force us to reconsider all developments surrounding
Ukraine and Russia-NATO cooperation.
Gatilov said that it is clear that potential economic
sanctions, political pressure and military preparedness are used by our adversaries
to increase the stake during possible talks on security guarantees. Such a
strategy could result in tragedy, he added.
Russia denies attack on Ukraine
Russia said that Western countries are trying to put
pressure on us by helping Ukraine, but we are not going to come under any
pressure. Reports suggest that Russia has increased the deployment of troops
near Ukraine and that the Russian army is conducting military exercises with
Belarus. Western countries fear that Russia may invade Ukraine at any time,
while Russia has denied the attacks.
Ukraine is being seen as a major concern of Russia after the
announcement of its closeness with the West and becoming a member of NATO.
Russia wants security guarantees from Western countries and is calling for Ukraine
to stop NATO membership and halt NATO military expansion.
